Services Provided

MCCR Activity Center is an Adult Day Habilitation Program, certified and monitored by the Alabama Department of Mental Health, Division of Developmental Disabilities to provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Services are provided in a non-residential setting, separate from home or the facility in which the individual normally resides, 5 days a week with 5 hours of training each day which includes the time required to transport individuals to and from the Activity Center.  

 

MCCR offers the following services:

 

Day Habitation Services - services that focus on providing assistance with acquisition, retention, and improvement in self-help, socialization,  work and adaptive skills. These services are provided in a non-residential setting, separate from home or the facility in which the individual normally resides.

 

Transportation Services - Transportation is provided by MCCR to program participants to and from the Activity Center, on outings and on daily errands.

 

Nutritional Services -  A nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks are served daily.  Dietary and health are monitored by MCCR staff.  

 

Case Management Services - MCCR assists individuals in accessing medical, social, educational and other specialized services.  East Central Mental Health provides Case Management.

24/7 Access to Medication Assistance - Supervised by a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse, Medication Assistance Certified workers ensure participants have access to medication on a 24/7 basis.
